Associate members are associated with the beauty industry (e.g. suppliers) who do not practice as a therapist or hold recognised practicing qualifications.

 

Associate Members are entitled to the following benefits:

  • Access to advocacy and support when dealing with local or health authorities

  • Expert advice on health and hygiene issues

  • Access to industry experts on marketing, new products and business management

  • Use of the Board Logo and name for marketing purposes

  • An annual membership certificate

  • We are negotiating discounted Public Indemnity and Public Liability insurance, discount cards, printing, signage and banners discounts, HR and legal advice.

Education / Training Provider Membership

$175 per year (no GST applies)

By becoming a member of the NZ Board of Professional Skin Therapies, you are identifying your training institution as a professional learning environment that is committed to providing the highest standards in industry education and training while supporting industry standards.

Education / Training Provider Members receive the following benefits:

  • Day-to-day advice and support

  • Board newsletters and communications

  • The latest industry Beauty Forum e-Magazine

  • Access to internationally recognised Infection Control Course

  • Membership to benefits for accounting, insurance, and uniform apparel supplier

  • Membership Certificate

  • Access and advice on industry standards, Health and Hygiene, Code of Ethics, Pandemic Response Plan, Scope of Practice Information, etc.

Student Membership

$50 per year (no GST appplies)

The NZ Board of Professional Skin Therapies offers a discounted student membership rate so students can become part of a professional family that is here to support you while you are studying.

With the fast-evolving development in beauty/skin therapy treatments and technology, the Board believes it's essential to support future therapists and help develop the best training, based on high industry standards, ethics, coupled with industry information.

Student Members will receive to the following benefits:

  • Board newsletters and communications

  • The latest industry Beauty Forum e-Magazine

  • Discounted tickets for APAN Conference and courses

  • Membership benefits

  • Student Membership Certificate

  • Confidential access to support, advice and help with any issues you face while training

  • Free job placement advertisements when looking for employment

Full membership of the board is open to practicing therapists who hold recognized current qualifications in their area of current practice. Full members who are clinic owners and employ staff, may enroll their staff under the “Clinic Staff” category of membership as significantly discounted rates.

Full Members receive the following benefits:

  • Access to advocacy and support when dealing with local or health authorities

  • Expert advice on health and hygiene issues

  • Support and advice on handling and resolving client complaints

  • Access to industry experts on marketing, new products and business management

  • The right to vote and contribute to Board submissions to government and local authority agencies

  • Use of the Board Logo and name for marketing purposes

  • An annual membership certificate

Staff employed by full members who own clinics and who meet membership criteria may enjoy full membership privileges at a discounted rate of $50 per annum.  (See below)
